On December 2-3, 2022, we conducted the first CBRNE workshop for medical personnel from the Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) on the medical treatment of a victim of a radiation emergency. The workshop included a simulation of rescue operations, radiation triage, and initial treatment at the in-hospital, decontamination, and emergency department stages. During the workshops, radiation agents were detected, contaminated fragments were searched in the victim’s body, and then they were removed and secured. It was the first in a series of external trainings for medical personnel on radiation hazards.
