On 20.03.2025, representatives of the Department of Disaster Medicine and Emergency Care – Dr. Karol Łyziński participated in an important meeting with the Voivode of Małopolska – Krzysztof Jan Klęczar. The main topic was the new act on population protection and civil defense, which introduces comprehensive solutions aimed at increasing security and social resilience.
During the meeting, key issues related to the preparation of medical entities for defense needs, including CBRNE threats, and cooperation with various services and organizations were discussed. The Voivode emphasized that “the act on population protection and civil defense is a milestone in building a modern population protection system”.
The role of training and exercises, which aim to increase the readiness and effectiveness of actions in crisis situations, was also discussed. The meeting ended with an expression of common determination to continue cooperation for the safety of the residents of Małopolska.
