On October 4-6, 2023, representatives of the Department of Disaster Medicine and Emergency Aid at the Jagiellonian University Medical College participated in the 2nd International CBRNE Symposium in Rumia. “Counteracting CBRNE threats”. The symposium was organized as part of the project “Strengthening security in the field of CBRNE – coordination and standardization” financed by Norwegian funds. The symposium was attended by representatives of domestic and foreign centers dealing with CBRNE issues. During the course, the procedures for dealing with CBRNE incidents used in European countries were presented. The Department presented the results of its work carried out as part of the CBRNE Project, including the procedures developed for dealing with the victim of a CBRNE incident.
Participation in the Symposium allowed for a broader view of CBRNE issues, exchange of experiences, establishment of contacts and new acquaintances. It was an extremely valuable experience.
