On 29-30.10.2024, the CBRNEmed team from the Department of Disaster Medicine and Emergency Care (ZMKiPD) of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow participated in the CBRNE Convergence conference in Orlando (USA). Dr. Karol Łyziński represented the Department in the medical panel during the discussion on the procedures for medical support of CBRNE events. During the discussion, the position of ZMKiPD regarding the principles of handling CBRNE patients in pre-hospital practice was presented. The presented procedures were developed during the implementation of the Strengthening CBRNE safety and security – Coordination and Standardization project financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. The CBRNE Convergence conference was another international forum where we were able to present the achievements of the Department in the field of organizing assistance to victims of CBRNE events.
