On March 21-23, 2023, employees of the Department of Disaster Medicine and Emergency Assistance of the Jagiellonian University participated in the international CBRNe Summit conference, which took place in Lisbon. During the conference, the preparation of the armed forces of NATO countries for CBRNE threats was presented, military-civilian cooperation and medical tools for the treatment and elimination of the effects of hazardous materials were discussed. The conference was accompanied by an exhibition of specialist equipment. At the end, there were demonstrations of the possibilities of the Lisbon Guard to eliminate the effects of the use of radioactive substances by terrorists. A terrorist attack has been simulated in the Lisbon metro. These were three days of extremely valuable observations, exchange of experiences and establishing new contacts.
